  We are now offering non-paid internships for individuals to gain experience in the field of broadcast meteorology by training to produce weathercasts on The Connecticut Weather Channel through www.ctweather.com.  Please send letter of interest, resume, and video clip sample of recent work, if possible.

Fall 2017 internships-

 


Fall 2017 internships are available. These are non-paid/volunteer internships. During the internship, the individual will be shown the daily routines of a Meteorologist here at The Connecticut Weather Center. This will include, but not be limited to, preparation of weather information for clients, web site, CT Weather Channel (TV), and radio stations. Data base management in the Climatological area, updating Climatological norms for the Danbury Station, managing of automated weather stations in the field in the CLAW and LIAM networks. Exposure to Forensic Meteorology. Graphics background is a plus for newspaper design, web site icon design, and web site banner design. One project of the interns choice, will be completed by the end of the internship. The objective is to give an overview of what working in the private sector in Meteorology is all about. Other experiences: Attending court cases, trade shows, setting up automated weather stations, and distributing weather information to companies state-wide.
